Conferencing rooms often present unwanted levels of noise – when you put several people in a relatively confined space with lots of reflective surfaces such as walls, tabletops and TV screens it isn’t hard to see why. These challenges can have can a significant effect on audibility and result in uncomfortable reverberation issues.

AcouSpace were appointed by Construction specialists GMI to help solve these issues in the board room at their Leeds offices, and the Mr Acoustic team were brought in to help.

We were tasked to install several acoustic panels, directly-fixed to the ceiling. The 50mm panels provide Class A-levels of acoustic performance, absorbing sound that hits the surface.

To help further improve the acoustics within the space, we installed several complimentary 25mm acoustic wall panels – also directly-fixed to their respective surface.

The subtle panels aid the minimalist and linear design of the space without drawing too much attention, and thanks to their crisp white finish they reflect plenty of light back into the room.
