Sports halls are notoriously bad for acoustics due to their high ceilings and plethora of reflective surfaces. In teaching situations, this can lead to a lack of speech audibility, which can result in miscommunication and lack of concentration.

Oakfield Lodge School were aware of this, and the team at Mr Acoustic were approached on their behalf by acoustic specialists Tech Materials to address the issue.

To combat the massive echos present, treatment was applied directly to the ceiling and walls in the form of over 60 Class A, self-adhesive acoustic panels – making for a speedy install.
