Predicting the weather is hard enough without the noise distraction that typically comes with a busy office.

The team at Mr Acoustic were approached by acoustic specialists Tech Materials on behalf of the MET Office to install acoustic treatment in the form of over 100 ceiling rafts.

The large circular rafts each have a diameter of 1,200mm, are 50mm thick and were fixed to the concrete soffit at various levels.

The rafts effectively soak up unwanted sound on both sides, providing a Class A level of acoustic performance.
